Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday!
Continuing on where we left off last week…
When I didn’t respond to his Flatline request, he continued, “Well, if you’re my new doctor and I’m under your care, I have some complaints.”
“Such as?” I asked, knowing this was going to be good, I was prepared to write them down.
“First, the security detail is quite handsy and that burlap sack, last I checked this wasn’t Guantanamo Bay. My cell has no view, the shower is freezing, and the food sucks. And a blanket and pillow would be nice.”
“The burlap sack has already been handled, that won’t happen again. You have no view because you keep escaping so you’re in max confinement. I’ll see what I can do about the shower and food. You don’t have a pillow nor blanket because you’re too violent and will either kill someone with it or hurt yourself for the attention. Did you ever think about wearing your jumpsuit shirt, that might help keep you warm? He kept smirking as I continued, “But I will see what I can do. As far as security, again you’re violent, getting you out of your room–”
“Cell. It’s a cell.” He interrupted.
“You’re right, it is a cell. Getting you out of your cell is quite the hassle. You’ve ruffled a lot of feathers around here.”
Enjoy your Sunday!
