Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday!
Continuing on from last week, where Cartwright and Dr. Huxley are trying to figure each other out…
First line is Cartwright.
“Why are you here exactly? Is daddy giving you a chance to get some experience in?”
“I’ve been at Rockaway for a bit, I usually work with patients on lower floors–”
“You mean less dangerous ones. So, why me? Why suddenly a high profile and the most dangerous one?” He said, smirking at the thought of being so high profile and dangerous, “What happened to Dr. Moron?”
“Dr. Morell? It wasn’t working. You’re my patient now, Mr. Cartwright.”
“Flatline, Mr. Flatline.”

Enjoy your Sunday!

Interesting dialogue, filled with info and wit.
Thank you for reading!
Like the humor in this situation. Unexpected and delightful.
He is trying to be the biggest pain in the butt lol!
Thanks for stopping by!
I just think these two are getting wayyy too personal too fast (not criticizing the story! Just commenting on your character…she must really be attracted…). Enjoyed the snippet. I just never know what the guy is going to say next! He’s good at keeping her off balance.
He’s intentionally trying to be a pain and ruffle her feathers! She has a history behind her that we will get into later.
Thanks for reading!
These two are meant for each other. They’re going to be trouble. Can’t wait for the next excerpt!
Yes, yes they are going to be big trouble 🙂
Thanks for reading!
They’re off to a rousing start.

High-profile and dangerous indeed. A compelling snippet.
Thank you!! 🙂
I’m wary of him. I still think that as a psychiatrist she should remain more professional.
Thanks for reading!
He has a pretty high and mighty (in a dark way) opinion of himself! He makes me very nervous. 🙂 Good writing, Danii.
Thank you so much!!
