Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday!
I will catch up on everyone’s snippets as much as I can. I ended up getting very, very sick with Corona and haven’t been up for anything. I’m better in that I can be up doing things, but I am definitely having shortness of breath issues and can feel it in my lungs, so keeping an eye on that.
Continuing on where we left off last week with my new asylum story…
“I told you to wait outside until we got him secured in here.” Lewis said to me. Lewis was an older man in his fifties, an ex-FBI and military officer, with steroid muscles.
“You were taking too long to get him here.” I replied.
Lewis growled at me, but before he could say anything else, I started in on him. “A burlap sack? Seriously? This is not how we treat our patients.”
I leaned over the table and yanked off the burlap sack. His eyes adjusted to the light as he stared at me…this was Damon Cartwright, or as he’s known in the criminal underworld, Damon Flatline, my patient. I tossed the sack at Lewis.
Thanks for reading! You can read more great authors here and here!
Enjoy your Sunday!

Ooooh! Nice reveal! Hope you’re feeling stronger and better soon. COVID sucks.
Thank you!!
And yes, it does suck big time! This is the worst I ever had it so far and ended up in urgent care for my lungs. I am on the mend.
Lots of mistrust between these two. I hope Damon doesn’t pick up on it and use it against them.
Hope you feel better soon!
Thank you!
Well done snippet, good details.
Thank you!
He’s already so unpredictable. I wonder how he’ll react to having had a burlap sack over his head? 🙂
Danii, I hope you feel better, and that your recovery from shortness of breath is swift! Hugs…
I don’t know if she will give him a chance to react.
ANd thank you, this has definitely been an experience! An experience I don’t care to have again.
This sounds like a great story! I hope you are feeling better!
Thank you! I am really enjoying writing this one!
