Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday!
Continuing on where we left off last week with my new asylum story. Security is trying to get a patient out of their room…
Everything was silent for a few minutes before the clink of a tear gas canister hit the floor, only it wasn’t tear gas inside, it was a small dose of a sleeping gas. I heard him laugh as he sunk to the floor, looking like he was purposely taking deep breaths of the sleeping gas in. As soon as he was out, Lewis and his team entered with several guns and tasers directed at him, Lewis holding a straight jacket and what seemed like several feet of chains and cuffs. I shook my head as I walked out from the observation wall, this was not how I wanted it to go.
I waited in the interview room with my notes and files spread out before me on the table. It wasn’t long before I heard chains rustling in the hall. Lewis led him in with a firm grip on his arm and the same guns and tasers at his back. He was strapped into a straight jacket, with cuffs on the arms that were chained to a belt around his waist. Another chain on the belt led to his feet that were in ankle cuffs. His face was covered by a burlap sack. Lewis threw him down into the chair across from me and secured his chains to the floor. It was all over the top.
Thanks for reading! You can read more great authors here and here! I am behind on reading, it’s been a crazy work week and now I have two kiddos with Covid. Trying not to get it myself. But I will catch up soon.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Something tells me these extremes in caution were justified. I’m as intrigued as she is.
That is a lot of precautions for one man. They must see him as extremely dangerous!
Wow, intense all right!
They are taking no chances! ANd I hope she doesn’t start to trust this guy. Oy!
